Our team designed this transformative expansion to elevate regional healthcare delivery. We successfully replaced an outdated building with a visionary 17,000-square-foot surgical facility.
The advanced facility features three high-performance operating rooms and two specialized procedure suites. These dynamic spaces support diverse medical needs, including orthopedic, gastrointestinal, plastic, and general surgeries. The center also includes 18 comfortable prep and recovery rooms. We strategically positioned these patient rooms around a highly efficient central core. This functional core houses a dedicated anesthesia room, pristine supply areas, and essential medication rooms.
Our team partnered closely with specialized vendors to perfectly coordinate the sterile processing layout. We actively gathered invaluable input from surgery stakeholders at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. Medical staff can now easily prepare instruments and supplies for critical surgical cases.
The prep and recovery suite features highly accessible nurse stations at both ends. We designed an innovative clerestory volume in the main separating corridor. This forward-thinking architectural element floods the space with controlled, natural daylight. It creates a remarkably bright and inviting atmosphere for healing. The design also incorporates dedicated locker rooms and a premium staff lounge. Our interior design team seamlessly integrated Froedtert West Bend Hospital brand standards to deliver a highly supportive work environment.
We seamlessly connected inpatient pathways directly to the main hospital structure. Meanwhile, outpatients enjoy a dedicated, welcoming entry point on the south elevation. A convenient covered drop-off leads to a bright, airy registration lobby. Stunning floor-to-ceiling glass offers calming views of the picturesque rural prairie surroundings. This holistic approach ensures the campus remains a landmark destination for exceptional patient care.
