Fox Cities Exhibition Center

The Fox Cities Exhibition Center is an iconic destination for a variety of events including conventions and trade shows. This key landmark in the downtown Appleton area will bring in new business and reinforce the strength of the local community.

The site’s natural slope allowed part of the building to be constructed below ground level and embrace and enhance Jones Park – a landmark carved into a natural swale adjacent to the exhibition center site. A combined 93,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space bodes iconic features, including an 82 ft. tall spire as a tribute to the first hydro-electric generation station, which began operation in Appleton in 1882, and facility-wide use of color programmable LED lighting.

As a result of designing this revolutionary exhibition center, Zimmerman was able to design and develop Jones Park in the adjacent lot.
