Lunda Black River Falls Community Center

Zimmerman was engaged by community members and critical designates from a local financial foundation to develop plans and designs for a vibrant multi-generational community center in Black River Falls.

Major program elements include a health and wellness center, expansive gymnasium spaces, a child-watch center, an aquatic center, a multi-generational center, and a technology-enabled community resource center.

The project also involved spaces jointly developed with the Boys and Girls Club (new center) and Black River Falls School District (new fieldhouse.) As part of the assignment, Zimmerman evaluated a variety of site locations before a consensus began to emerge, which fit the building into an existing campus of the school and community-owned buildings – creating a Black River Falls community campus.
