Glenn Rieder Headquarters

Glenn Rieder, a Milwaukee-based custom architectural millwork and interior finishes light industrial manufacturer, needed additional space and a more efficient layout. The company engaged Zimmerman to plan and design their new headquarters facility.

The most challenging aspect of the project was that it was built on a former lime slurry disposal pit from a former heavy industrial site. Site amenities include a pond and other landscaping. The City of West Allis supported the site redevelopment by completing an environmental cleanup and offering Rieder a financial incentive package for its relocation.

Zimmerman designed a sleek new two-story, 120,000 sq. ft. headquarters and manufacturing facility, including large windows that provide significant natural light into the work areas, collaborative office workspaces, and an employee fitness center. The new building features 90,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 30,000 sq. ft. of office space.
