Our team focused on making medical visits fun and memorable. Patient spaces, featuring ocean, safari and jungle themes are whimsical and playful to reduce patient apprehension and improve outcomes. Vibrant colors, premium materials, and playful graphics enhance the corridors and exam rooms in each wing.
We incorporated a strategic dual-door system into every examination space. Patients enter directly from the public corridor, while medical staff access the room from dedicated collaborative workspaces. Sliding doors on the exam rooms minimize space requirements and improve overall accessibility. The private, off-stage collaboration areas allow provider teams to work efficiently without disrupting patients in their exam rooms.
The Aurora Baycare Pediatric Center features a forward-thinking self-rooming concept to optimize daily operations. This innovative system allows patients to easily check in and proceed directly to their assigned rooms. Advanced monitoring technology clearly indicates when specific rooms are active or available for the next patient. This streamlined approach completely eliminates the need for providers to escort families from a traditional waiting lobby. Nurses can now dedicate that saved time to delivering focused, high-quality care directly to the patient. Our team successfully brought this transformative vision to fruition in just seven months, from initial design through final construction.
