Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital

Froedtert West Bend Hospital sought to expand access to critical medical and radiation oncology services across Washington County. To achieve this vital goal, leadership established the new Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility provides a serene, healing environment designed specifically to meet the unique needs of cancer patients. The center demonstrates a profound commitment to privacy, specialized treatment, and highly personalized care.

We collaborated closely with hospital stakeholders to optimize the facility layout for exceptional patient care. The architectural design seamlessly connects the new addition to existing outpatient oncology spaces on the hospital campus. Concurrently, the lower level now provides comprehensive inpatient services. The specialized medical oncology area features dedicated examination spaces, a modern laboratory, and an advanced infusion department. The radiation oncology area houses a powerful linear accelerator for targeted radiation therapy. This strategic integration successfully consolidates multiple levels of essential care into one centralized location.

The Cancer Center at Froedtert West Bend Hospital prioritizes absolute patient comfort during challenging treatments. Patients receiving chemotherapy can relax in a spacious common room featuring six comfortable recliners and picturesque prairie views. The facility also offers semi-private and fully private infusion suites for those desiring a quieter, more intimate environment. These flexible spaces allow individuals to rest peacefully or keep family members closely by their side during therapy.

The Small Stones Wellness Center, prominently located in the main lobby, actively supports the holistic healing process. This unique space assists patients in enhancing their appearance, promoting deep relaxation, and boosting vital self-esteem. Beyond initial medical treatment, the facility continues to provide comprehensive, long-term support. A dedicated survivor center ensures ongoing care, resources, and compassionate guidance for patients navigating life after cancer.
