Jackson Community Center

This project represents a continued investment in the quality of life for the Village of Jackson, solidifying the Jackson Community Center as the definitive hub for its residents. As community engagement and revenue grew, so did the expectations and spatial requirements for the facility. Zimmerman’s design addressed these evolving needs through strategic expansion and modernization, reinforcing the Jackson Community Center’s central role in the community.

The 34,852 sq. ft. project was designed to enhance functionality and user experience. On the east side, a large function space with accessory rooms and a separate entry was added, allowing for private and after-hours events. The west addition introduced three early childhood classrooms with dedicated accessory spaces and an outdoor play area, complete with a separate drop-off and pick-up zone to streamline access.

At the main entrance, a new secure check-in desk enhances safety for all members and visitors. The project also included critical deferred maintenance updates throughout the building, such as mechanical unit replacements, new interior finishes, and exterior maintenance. These comprehensive upgrades ensure the facility’s longevity and operational excellence, supporting the Jackson community for generations to come.
