Steve Raasch, 


President, CEO

As the current President and CEO of Zimmerman Architectural Studios, Steve has more than 30 years of professional planning, design, and architectural experience. His passion for his profession, innovative approach and commitment to client service ultimately led to his appointment as CEO. He has since driven the reinvention of Zimmerman’s culture, strategy and business efforts, bolstering its place in the industry.

Through the course of his career, Steve developed an interest and expertise focused on Healthcare facility planning. His leadership and expertise providing healthcare planning, project management, concept development, programming, group facilitation and consensus building expanded Zimmerman’s healthcare design portfolio and improved the firm’s overall position in the marketplace.

Steve is inspired to creatively connect people, organizations and communities in meaningful ways allowing each to thrive. His ability to envision, evolve, communicate, and build the support to advance from creative concepts to applied outcomes benefits those he leads and supports. His focus on improvement is constant. Respected for his lead by example and collaborative, common-sense decision-making style, Steve is poised and motivated to contribute his vision, energy and talent to organizations benefitting from his unique career blend of creative visioning, problem solving, project management, and organizational leadership.

Steve studied at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and the School of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a registered professional architect, and holds several professional credentials related to organizational success and sustainability. He is also active in the business community as a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, Metro Milwaukee Association of Commerce, Waukesha Business Alliance, and Chief Executive Network. He currently serves on the board for the Menomonee Valley Partners and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee.
